Interior architecture is about more than how a home looks. It’s about understanding how people live, then shaping space around that life with intention. For us, that makes design an inherently intimate process—one that asks for trust, close observation, and, ultimately, strong creative leadership.

Born in Morocco, raised in South Florida, and shaped by two decades in New York City, Safae has spent those years dedicated to the craft of interior design. She studied Interior Design and Art History at the Fashion Institute of Technology, then built her career at some of the industry’s most respected firms, including Rees Roberts + Partners and Selldorf Architects. That foundation informs an approach that is both artistic and technical, grounded in interior architecture, space planning, construction, materials, and detail.

Safae founded Safae Interior Design in 2015. Today, we lead projects from the inside out—considering architecture and function alongside furniture, art, color, material, and the less tangible things that give a home its character. We listen closely, but we also believe in the value of an experienced point of view: knowing what to edit, what to pursue, when to push an idea further, and how to bring hundreds of decisions into a coherent whole.

Over the years, we’ve built a trusted network of architects, artisans, craftspeople, contractors, and industry partners. Together, we approach each project with rigor, curiosity, and care, creating homes that are layered, highly considered, and deeply connected to the people who live in them.
