Safae always knew that her future would be in a creative field. Born in Morocco and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, with most of her years spent in New York City, she is constantly inspired by the world around her. Her passion for architecture, decorative and visual arts, nature, and a strong affinity for process, detail, and collaboration led her to pursue a career in interior design. Safae's diverse background, formal design education, and cultivated experience have paved the way for her professional success.
Safae studied at the illustrious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where she completed a rigorous four-year interior design program while minoring in art history. She got her start at prestigious design firms such as Jamie Drake, Thom Filicia, and Victoria Hagan Interiors, as well as hospitality interiors experience at Bilkey Llinas Design in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Prior to starting her own design practice, Safae honed her professional skills at award-winning design firms Rees Roberts + Partners and Selldorf Architects, where she managed numerous major projects.
A desire to practice her own design sensibility and forge her own path led to the founding of Safae Interior Design in 2015. A modernist at heart, Safae fully embraces color, pattern, texture, and scale. "I see myself as translating people into their spaces." Understanding her clients' needs, collaborating to define their vision, and executing it with precision is her team's ultimate goal. They create exquisite interiors that are artful, functional, and entirely reflective of their clients.
